Following on from our most recent community survey (in March 2022), which showed strong demand for a community-owned shop and café in Kingsbarns, we have been investigating suitable premises in the centre of the village, and have identified The Inn at Kingsbarns as a potential option.
This survey will build on the findings from our previous consultation and is intended to gauge the level of support and interest in the development of The Inn at Kingsbarns as a community-based hub, offering a shop and dining options, alongside its current use as a public bar and accommodation.
We have been awarded stage 1 funding from the Scottish Land Fund and commissioned Community Enterprise to investigate the feasibility of the proposal and develop detailed plans for the building.
An important part of this is consulting with the local community to ensure that local people support the buy-out and that the project will be viable and beneficial to the village of Kingsbarns.
