Whether you live or work in the area or just like to visit, we’d love to hear how you would like this wonderful little corner of Scotland to develop over the coming years.
Please let us know what you love, what you hate, what you’d change and what you value. Whether it’s big things like energy and food security, or little things like paths and play parks, this is your chance to shape the future of our magical little nook in the East Neuk.
You can complete the short survey here. The closing date for responses is Friday 19th May.
What is a Local Place Plan?
Local Place Plans (LPPs) were introduced by the Scottish Government with the aim of encouraging communities to be active participants in shaping ideas and opportunities for the future of their local area. LPPs are community-led plans setting out proposals for the development and use of land. When the LPP is finalised, it is presented to Fife Council to be incorporated in their longer term Local Development Plan for the area.
Examples of issues LPPs might address include:
- proposals for new homes (including affordable housing), local employment, tourism or community facilities
- sites which help support new renewable energy projects, or climate change adaptation measures, such as flood mitigation
- improvements to neighbourhood centres
- improvements to open space, play facilities and active travel
- conservation of the natural and built environment
- land for community food growing
More information about Local Place Plans can be found on the Fife Council website.
